Wunderlich Medien, an independent film company in Munich, was established in 2006 by Barbara and Wolfgang Wunderlich.
Our aim was to create a documentary film on the life of our late father, the great German tenor Fritz Wunderlich. It was completed in 2006 and was created for Arte, German, Swiss and Austrian TV and Unitel. It was subsequently released on DVD by Deutsche Grammophon.

The success of this project led us to embark upon a series of documentaries on the life and times of Robert Stolz, Lisa Della Casa and Jonas Kaufmann. In coproduction with Bernhard Fleischer Moving Images (BFMI), 2009 we completed  a major documentary for Arte, rbb, WDR and ORF on the Classical Music scene during the years of the “DDR”.
The company maintains the legacy of Fritz Wunderlich, and has partnered with CD labels on several successful releases, with more releases planned.
